Welcome to Community Nurses Inc., a well-respected nonprofit home health agency that serves the residents of Elk, Cameron and McKean counties and parts of Jefferson, Clearfield and Potter counties in northwestern Pennsylvania.

We have a long history of caring for our communities. For more than eight decades, our nurses have specialized in providing in-home care to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, who require medical and support services in their homes.

We are proud of our heritage, our history, and our reputation for compassionate care – but we are also proud that our Agency is recognized as a technologically advanced leader in the field of home health care. We are continuously seeking out ways to use technology to enhance the care we provide. Our nurses are now electronically connected to a patient’s medical record, no matter where they are, through the use of personal laptop computers.

Community Nurses also offers telehealth, which is a method used by our nurses in-between scheduled visits to more closely monitor patients. Medical information entered daily into a home telehealth monitor by patients is viewed by a nurse in our office who assesses it, immediately addresses any concerns, and begins appropriate interventions.

Community Nurses, Inc. includes two subsidiaries: Community Nurses Home Health and Hospice Inc., a Medicare-certified subsidiary, and Community Nurses Home Support Services, Inc., a private duty subsidiary. Since 1997, Community Nurses Inc. has been an affiliated subsidiary of Elk Regional Health System.
