Bankovich appointed Adult Day Coordinator

Community Nurses is pleased to announce that Linda Bankovich, L.P.N., has been named Adult Day Services Coordinator. Linda will be supervising the Community Nurses Adult Day center located at 625 Maurus Street in St. Marys. She resides in Kersey with her husband Joe, and their daughters, Courtney, Caitlyn and Carley.

Linda is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 24 years experience in caring for the elderly. Linda stated, “I have always enjoyed working with our older population. Our Adult Day program allows families to feel that their loved one is spending the day at their home-away-from-home. People would be very pleased to see the homey setting that our Adult Day center offers and I invite anyone looking for care options for an older relative to stop by and see what we have to offer.”
When an older adult needs round-the-clock care it presents challenges and leads to difficult choices for families. Adult Day offers a safe, supervised setting for older adults who may have dementia, chronic mental or physical health problems, or are newly discharged from an acute care center and need assistance during the day while their caregiver works or takes care of other duties. Participants enjoy activities, health monitoring, music, mental stimulation games, exercises, hot meals, discussion groups, holiday and birthday celebrations, and local outings.
The Community Nurses Adult Day Services center is open Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information contact Linda Bankovich at 781-8253.
